They watch the TV with great pleasure especially with right programs (sport, nature, ballet, cartoons) empathizing with the happenings deeply. Abyssinian cats carry their favorite toys in the teeth to the owner like dogs and call to play. And they are always ready to play in any age and any time.
Every Abyssinian cat has their own talents and personalities. Every cat is individual.
Some Abyssinian cats like to present in public places at the cat shows where they demonstrate their Abyssinian beauty to the world. Show cats know and feel when they should create charming poses. They can sit patiently like a statuette on the judging table for a long time. And they do everything possible to attract public attention very diligently. One gets this impression that despite of difficulties on show days, exhibition hall noise, transportation to the show hall. Abyssinian cats enjoy this variety in their life and people attention to their lovely persons.
Abyssinian cats have the great dignity they do not allow to treat them disrespectfully.

Abyssinian cats and Abyssinian kittens are an example of extroverts in the world of pure breed cats. They are very active, easy going, communicative, open, positive and devoted to people animals.
When Abyssinian kittens mature and become adult animals they don’t stop to be playful and curious. Thanks to these character traits Abyssinian cats usually get along with other cats and dogs very well. They are similar to “perpetuum mobile”. They create positive family microclimate full of participation in the housework, curiosity, motion and the best emotions.
So Abyssinian cats are the best companions for adults, the elderly and even children.
If you compare Abyssinian cats withthe dog world, the Abyssinian breed is closer to shepherds or Labradors in essence i.e. to service dog breeds. However, Abyssiniancats still have the traits that all cats have: loud purring, and intense massage by their soft paws.
Abyssinian cats love to be with their owners and to keep you in sight but do not like to lie on the sofa or on your knees. They can even growl and guard the house if they hear suspicious sounds that can be a danger, if they believe so. Abyssinian cats will watch your actions with big attention when you prepare food, pack your bag or suitcase and thiskind of cat will participate in all your deals with great pleasure. A lot of Abyssinian cats like to work on the computer or watch at what you do while sitting on your shoulders. Some Abyssinian cats love to sleep with people in the bed under the blanket close to their favorite owners. Some of them prefer to sleep alone.
However, I wouldn’t say that Abyssinian cats are very obsessive. Thanks to their intellect they understand when they should leave owners alone.
Abyssinian cats need their personal time, personal toys and personal czy areas.
The voice of an Abyssinian cat is tender and not loud. They are not talkative like Siamese cats.
Abyssinian Cat Care
Nowadays life is very busy and dynamic so only long-haired cats will spend enough time for cat grooming everyday with great pleasure.
Thanks to the short hair of Abyssinian cats their owners do not need to spend many hours for frequent bathing and brushing. This fact is a big advantage and it gives more free time to play, to communicateand to rest.
Of course, Abyssinian cats need some care. They love being brushed and they love brush massages. Some cats even love to take a shower or a bath. But you wouldn’t have todo these procedures often. You will not see hair scraps on the furniture or on your clothes.
The care of Abyssinian cats is very easy. You only need to brush them in the molting period and their claws do need to be cut sometimes.
Abyssinian cats are very neat and they are healthy.
They are not stressed easily and they care for themselves perfectly.
